Distributions for 2013 expected by early May

The General Partner has advised that year-end distributions for 2013 are in work and checks are expected to be mailed by early May.

 From the General Manager

There is no higher priority at Camelback Inn than the safety of guests and associates while on property. We recently asked General Manager Jim Rose and Resident Manager Reed Randolph a few questions about what to do in the event of an emergency. Here are their answers:

1. What is the best procedure when confronted with a fire or medical emergency? Call 911 from room phone or cell phone. If using room phone, must dial "9" first for outside line. When calling from room phone, Loss Prevention automatically gets notified that someone called 911.

2. Is it faster to use a cell phone or land line?
Whichever is closest. If you use a cellphone, please also contact AYS by using the hotel phone. We like to send a Loss Prevention officer to front entrance of resort to lead emergency vehicles on quickest/most direct route to location of emergency.

3. What kind of emergency training do our associates have?
We have staff members who are CPR trained, and trained in handling basic medical emergencies as well as fire evacuation.

Our rule of thumb is: "If ever in doubt about a medical emergency, call 911 and get the experts"!

 From the Property Planning Committee

Committee Chair Jim Montgomery reports: "We recently met with Jim Rose, on his suggestion. We discussed the current state of Jackrabbit pool and his thoughts of possible improvements. Mr. Rose also suggested providing guests with a notification upon check-in of the availability to purchase units.

Camelback room rates posted through December, 2014

On April 15, the rate for a standard room at Camelback Inn was changed to $409.00 per night. While it remains in effect, this is the rate that will be used to calculate the number of days your unit will be charged when using vacation time at a reciprocal property. Rates are set to change frequently as we move into the shoulder season, therefore, if you plan to use vacation time at a reciprocal property, this page can be a valuable tool for forecasting your usage.

To access the list of rates projected through December, including rates for Sundeck units, click the "Camelback Room Rates" tab on the left. Please keep in mind that all rates are subject to change.

 Units Available for Resale updated

The list of those Units that are currently being offered for sale by other Co-Owners was updated on April 2, 2014. To view the list, log on and click the "Units Available for Resale" tab on the left.

You can also download the current Camelback Inn Property Map which shows the location of all the Condominium Units.

Please take the Annual Meeting Event Survey

The Board of Directors would like to have your input to help plan the social events that are part of the Annual Meeting weekend in October. For this purpose, we have prepared a short survey on the subject. It only takes a couple of minutes to complete the survey which can be found by clicking the link on the left side of the home page. Thanks for you participation.

Making Camelback reservation requests on your computer

May 31, 2014 is the last day that you can guarantee availability of your unit during prime season 2014-2015. The best way to do that and to request space for any other time is on line.

You can make your room reservations at Camelback Inn directly on your computer from the Co-Owners website, www.camelbackowners.com. After you key in your password, go to the "Reservations Form" page and follow the instructions. You will receive a confirming email from the Camelback Inn Reservations Office.

Please keep in mind that the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl will be played in Arizona in late January and early February, 2015. Our rooms will be in high demand in the days before and after the games and Co-Owners are requested to avoid using vacation time then unless absolutely necessary.

When visiting Camelback Inn during high season, it is recommended that you make Spa and dinner reservations prior to your arrival. The Inn's Concierge Staff is available to help with all of your reservation requests including dining and entertainment off property. Contact the Inn at 480-948-1700.

Hertz cars can be reserved directly with the Hertz agents on property by calling 480-948-8450. The Hertz office is located next to the bell stand.

If you have any other questions or need technical help with your access to the Co-Owner web site, do not hesitate to send an email to the Communications Committee c/o dcbartholomew@aol.com.

Happy spring.
