 Board of Directors Approves Budget, Posts all Annual Meeting Documents

The Board of Directors concluded its meeting on September 22, 2014, at which time the 2015 Co-Owners Budget was adopted for submission to the Annual Meeting for approval by all Co-Owners. All documents related to the Annual Meeting are now posted on the Camelback Owners Web Site and will be mailed to owners later this week. There is no need to wait for the U.S. Mail delivery. You can cast your ballot and make room reservations and event reservations directly on your computer right away.

 Make plans now to attend the Camelback Annual Meeting

Now the time to make your plans to attend the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Council of Co-Owners at Camelback Inn. The Annual Meeting Weekend will include the following events:

6:00 p.m. Cocktail Reception at the Manor House (complimentary)

Friday, October 17, 2014
8:00 a.m. Golf Outing at Mountain Shadows Golf Club ($45.00)
2:00 p.m. Tour of Taliesin West by private bus ($45.00)
(No group activities are scheduled for Friday evening.)

The new Ambiente Golf Course at Camelback will be closed in October for over seeding and the Padre Course is unavailable due to a prior commitment to a large group. Golf at Mountain Shadows should be finished by 11:30 a.m. leaving plenty of time for those participating in the afternoon tour.

We have arranged for a tour of Taliesin West by private bus from 2-5 p.m. Taliesin West was Frank Lloyd Wright's winter residence and has been beautifully restored by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. We will visit Wright's private office and living quarters, the Cabaret Theater, Music Pavilion and the dramatically beautiful garden terraces and walkways. Space is limited to 30, so sign up early!

 Make room reservation requests on line, then register for events.

You can make your room reservations at Camelback Inn directly on your computer from the Co-Owners website, www.camelbackowners.com. After you key in your password, go to the "Reservations Form" page and follow the instructions. You will receive a confirming email from the Camelback Inn Reservations Office. If you wish to take advantage of the special meeting rate of $125.00 instead of using vacation days, please note this in the comments section.

To register for the weekend activities including golf and the Taliesin Tour, go to the "What's New" page and click on the link to the activities form. You can print the form, fill it in and fax it to Wanda Shopinski at 480-596-7027 or you can scan the completed form and send it as an email attachment to Wanda at wanda@cbicondo.com. If you prefer, you can send the email without the attachment. Please be sure to list the events you plan to attend and the number in your party. You can also call Wanda at 480-948-7939.

You will also find the Annual Meeting Ballot on the "What's New" page. You can print the ballot, fill it in and then return it via fax to (312) 853-8412, as an email attachment to cbiboardmatters@gmail.com or in an envelope via regular mail to the address shown on the ballot. You may also vote via email without returning the ballot provided you include in your email message the following information:

1. Unit Number or Numbers
2. Name of Owner or Owners exactly as listed on your deed
3. Names of two (2) candidates for Directors
4. Approval of Budget vote - Yes, No or Abstain
5. Approval of Minutes vote - Yes, No or Abstain

Return the email to cbiboardmatters@gmail.com or fax it to (312) 853-8412. To be counted, an absentee ballot must be received no matter how it is cast by 5 p.m. AZ Time Friday, October 17, 2014. An in-Person Ballot may be delivered to the Board Secretary at the Annual Meeting on October 18, 2014, up to the time that the Board President announces that voting has closed.

As previously announced, the Nominating Committee recommends that Biffie Kelly of Phoenix, AZ, be elected to serve a second term as director and that Christopher Gable of Altoona, PA, be elected to serve a first term as director. As of the date of this letter the Secretary has received no petition from any Co-Owner requesting that other names be placed in nomination.

After you have cast your vote and made your room and event reservations, we recommend that you also make reservations for Spa services and restaurants prior to your arrival. The Inn's Concierge Staff is available to help with all of your reservation requests including dining and entertainment off property. Contact the Inn at 480-948-1700.

Hertz cars can be reserved directly with the Hertz agents on property by calling 480-948-8450. The Hertz office is located next to the bell stand.

 Update your profile and "go paperless"

All of the Annual Meeting information that was sent via email and made available on the web site will automatically be sent to you via U.S. Mail unless you choose the paperless option. Sixty-eight families have already opted to discontinue receiving hard copies of the same information they now get electronically. It's easy to add your name to the list. Simply visit the profile page of the web site and select the option to receive all Condominium notifications exclusively by electronic means. You will be saving trees and money for the association.

Please note that Host Hotels and Resorts, Inc. will continue to distribute partnership notices to all Limited Partners via U.S. Mail. For your reference, we post all of the general information that they distribute by mail on the Partnership page of the web site.

 Clarification regarding Mid-Year Distribution Statements

Early in September, Host Hotels and Resorts, Inc.; General Partner of the Camelback Inn Associates Limited Partnership mailed cash distributions to the Limited Partners. The distribution statements were incorrectly labeled as "statement of distribution for period 04/01/2014 - 06/30/2014". Host has confirmed that this was a typographical error.

The distribution is for the period 01/01/2014 - 06/30/2014.

 Arrange for Direct Deposit of your cash distributions

On behalf of the General Partner, we remind all Limited Partners that you have the option of having your distribution checks deposited electronically to your bank account. To arrange for direct deposit, mail or fax your request together with a voided check to Wanda Shopinski at the Condominium Office -

 Camelback room rates are changing in September and October

The number of days your unit will be charged when you use vacation time at a reciprocal property is based upon the rate in effect the day of your stay at the participating hotel. Rates are set to change several times in September and October. We suggest that you consult this page prior to making your plans if you need to forecast your vacation time usage. Please keep in mind that rates are subject to change.

 Units Available for Resale were updated September 5, 2014

The list of those Units that are currently being offered for sale by other Co-Owners was updated on September 5, 2014. To view the list, log on and click the "Units Available for Resale" tab on the left.

You can also download the current Camelback Inn Property Map which shows the location of all the Condominium Units.
