Minutes for recent Board meetings are now available

Official minutes for the November 16, 2016 Board of Director's Meeting were approved at the January meeting and are now posted on the web site.

The Board of Directors most recently met on January 18, 2017 with Directors, committee members and Co-Owners participating via telephone. The Board received reports from the Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Committee and Property Planning Committee. Preliminary event plans for October's Annual Meeting Weekend were discussed.

The Communications Committee reported that the annual archiving of documents has begun and that all 2016 documents will be preserved on the Archives Page which contains all official records of the Condominium Association. Plans are moving forward to activate a system of on-line voting through an arrangement with DocuSign what will enable Co-Owners to vote by responding to an official email.

Ballroom and Guestroom Renovation plans in discussion

The Property Planning Committee has recently discussed several issues with Marriott including soft and hard goods renovations of all of the bedroom interiors. The project will include painting, window treatments, furniture and flooring and is now expected to take place in summer 2018. Marriott is also in the final stages of the planning process for construction of a new 15,000 square foot ballroom that would replace several of the older meeting rooms. The addition of a second ballroom will enable the Inn to host two major groups simultaneously and will feature high ceilings and state of the art electronics. Marriott will fund 100% of the ballroom project. Funding for the guestroom renovations will be from the Partnership FF&E Reserve.

Requesting Vacation Time at Camelback in Prime Season

Pitchers and catchers report in less than two weeks and the Baseball Spring Training Season is just one of the reasons that our rooms are in high demand this time of year. Prime Season officially began on December 1, 2016 and runs through April 30, 2017.

The Partnership Agreement guarantees vacation time availability of your unit in season if you have secured your reservation by May 31. Reservation requests are now subject to availability. The Camelback Reservations Team will continue to make every effort to accommodate your requests as space permits. Please keep in mind that the Resort's ability to satisfy the needs of group and leisure guests, especially in Prime Season, benefits all of us as Camelback investors.

 Reciprocal Destination: New Orleans, Louisiana

Mardi Gras falls on February 28 this year and festivities leading up to the big event have already started. Adding to the excitement, on February 19th New Orleans will play host to this year's NBA All-Star Game. While the city is at the height of celebration this time of year, a visit to the Big Easy at any time can be a rewarding escape. In the French Quarter you will find world renowned restaurants, art galleries and the legendary Preservation Hall among the many jazz venues. You can enjoy coffee and beignets outdoors at the Caf du Monde, take the St. Charles Avenue streetcar to the Garden District and visit the recently enlarged National World War II Museum.

Three reciprocal properties are located on Canal Street at the edge of the French Quarter. The New Orleans Marriott rising 41 stories above the Mississippi River has 1,300 rooms and an exclusive "M Club" lounge. Steps away is the JW Marriott with stylish rooms and the JW Executive Lounge. The landmark building on Canal Street that originally housed the Maison Blanche Department Store has been completely restored and converted to the luxurious New Orleans Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Other reciprocal options in the Crescent City are the Renaissance Arts District Warehouse Hotel, Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel, New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center and New Orleans Marriott Metairie Lakeway. For more information and reservations at all reciprocal hotels go to www.Marriott.com.
