"We decided to mix it up a bit this fall and introduce unique seasonal treatments that would remind our guests of the lazy days of summer or a favorite winter vacation spot," states Nichole Pfeifer, Aquae Sulis Spa Assistant Director. "The coconut and mango aromas in our seasonal product-line help transport our guests on a mini-journey to an exotic land with beach and ocean as far as the eye can see. After all, we all need an hour or so vacation every now and then."

Mommy and Me Manicures and Pedicures
Every little girl loves to do "big girl" activities with Mommy, and today many mothers and daughters can be found relaxing in a salon getting their fingers and toes pampered. Aquae Sulis Salon has developed the Mommy and Me Manicures and Pedicures packages which include scrumptious milk and cookies for two.
Using ME! Bath products, the 25-minute manicure begins with a soak in Land of Milk n' Honey body wash followed by nail preparation and a soothing body icing hand massage. The treatment finishes with a favorite polish color or buff.
For the pedicure, mother and daughter relax with a luxurious Land of Milk n' Honey body wash soak, full nail service and a foot and leg scrub using a scrumptious sherbet product. After a soothing massage, body icing is applied followed by a wrap and warm Mommy and Me booties. The coup de gras is a special polish application or buff.

Spotlight On Ellie Mendre, Massage Therapist
Originally from Houston, Texas
Graduated Nevada School of Massage Therapy
Employed with Aquae Sulis Spa since January 2007
"One of the best parts about being a therapist at Aquae Sulis Spa is our repeat guests," says Ellie Mendre, Massage Therapist, who has a roster of satisfied regulars who visit her from all over the country. There is a reason why guests email her from Florida to make sure she'll be available at their next visit. As guests share their needs, Ellie responds with overwhelming compassion. Using touch to heal people both physically and emotionally, Ellie sincerely enjoys helping others feel good. Her client list include guests who've had a c-section, other surgeries, prosthetics, or back and neck injuries. "But of course some clients come just to relax," she points out.
The management team at the spa encourages the therapists to really focus on guests' individual needs. "There is no set protocol that we have to follow, but we have the freedom to find out exactly what each guest is looking for and to accommodate that need," Ellie says. "That's another reason why I love working at the Aquae Sulis Spa." And one of the many reasons guests keep coming back.
